Escargots the novel invention in food chain

Food, Cuisine or Restuarants are the few words that are always associated with a latin phrase coquere meaning to cook. Every region has a diversified geographical location, in accoordance to which their food habits also differ a lot. In fact it can be said that cuisines are instigated from the inhabitants who reside there and its natural habitat. Thus the famous reciepe Escargorts is also an establishment of a particular cuisine, in which a dish of cooked land snails are served to the customers.


Escargots is however a dish cooked out of huge land snails, which are usually prepared with a tendency to be served as apitizer. It is commonly applied to those species of living snails which are eaten in this aspect only. This word is actually a french word for snail, which has been adopted from the pre-roman period. However it is not true that all the land snails are edible, yet most of them are and perpared with high authenticity. This process of preparing escargots is popularly known as Heliculture.
This dish is usually cooked in fernch restaurants and have the tinch of french cuisine in it. In fact the range in which these escargots are available in the archeological excavations are enough to prove that they have been present in our food chain from the pre-historic period. In fact the romans are considered to be have tasted and established the escargots as an elite food. Thus certifying that escargot is a staple cuisine spread all over the world.

As far as the French culture goes, it is believed that snails are purged, killed and brutally murdered, at times even poisoned to make and prepare this dish. But since this is highly craved by the people and is renowned, this brutal process still continues. However there exists a proper trend or should we say there is a proper established technique to eat this escargot. There exists particular forks or shell knives with which this dish is eaten and served with butter, sauce and portioning. Thus having a complete and an absolute idea of what an escargot is and how is it prepared and served one must be definately sure of the fact that it is regarded as an staple food.
At times these snails are cooked and served within their shells and are simmered in red or white wine to both make them look and taste great. However like most of the molluscs,escargots are also high in protein and contains excessive range of obese. With this the asociated term, which is usually refered is known as Heliciculture, or should pronounce it as snail farming. However most of the time, this culture is followed to satisfy human expenditure and thus acquire the snail slime, which is in turn is utilised for manufacturing cosmetic products. The western world has primarily established themselves in the world of heliciculture, with a grand space to farm and raise snails. There are many species available in this genre, which is all the way long present in Europe, Africa and American counter parts.
