Brandy, popular as burnt wine, is a spirit formed by distilling wine. It generally contains 35% – 60% alcohol content and is usually treated as an after-dinner sip. Most of the brandies are ripened in wooden casks, whereas some are simply colored with caramel coloring. There are brandies that can be even be manufactured by using a mixture of both coloring and aging. Initially produced from fruits that are fermented, this spirit is considered to be a great refreshing drink.
