Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world and our Kashmir saffron is the number one among the other origin of saffron both in quality and price.Saffron/Kesar/Kungumapoov is an agricultural product so it does not have any fixed price. Price will vary all the time depend up on the market so nobody can tell a fixed price like 100,150 or 200 rupees. In India we have only two or three good brands in saffron and the price will be an average of three hundred to three fifty rupees per gram in a retail shop at the same time if you buying directly from the online shop you will get an average of hundred rupees discount, actually that hundred rupees is the commission of retailer or distributor. If you are getting Kashmir saffron from a retailer for 100 or 150 rupees, Please make sure that you are buying natural saffron.According to me that will be a duplicate or adulterated saffron.
Different class of saffron are there like grade one ,two three.. as well the price difference is also high between the different grades. Geographical classification like Kashmir saffron ,Iran saffron, Spain saffron..most of the Indian traders are using Iran saffron for trading in the name of Kashmir saffron because cheap price of Iran saffron(Iran saffron comparatively having cheap quality) so when purchasing saffron/supplier reputation is very important. Don't forget to check details printed on the saffron packet like proper company details/address,price,packing date and also you can ask original tax bill mentioned "Kashmir saffron" for your saffron purchase....Do not buy saffron packet with out proper address or contact details of the company.Use of saffron is not only for the time of pregnancy continue the use after delivery because this is good at the time of Brest feeding.Even it an expensive spice try to use pure saffron at least two or three time in a week for life time it is very very good for entire health.
