Best Grilling Chicken Stew Recipes For Beginners

Author: Rosa Agutina
It is that annual time of the year where you are on your way to go camping. You make up your list on what you need to bring. Make sure that you have warm sleeping bags because some nights can be chilly. If you have a cot or two you will want to bring them along, too. If you do not think you can sleep on the ground inside of a tent test out an air mattress and a cot. You will be able to feel which one will work best for you so you get a good night sleep.

Other items you will need to bring include plastic utensils, plates, a big pan or bucket to wash dishes, dish soap, regular bathroom soap, hand cleanser, toothbrushes, toothpaste, pillows, clothing including swimming suites and foods you want to eat. To pack your foods make sure that you write out a list so that you do not forget anything. Once you write out your list type it up and save it on your computer. The next time you go camping you can skip the writing down your list part and get packing!
Once you arrive at your campsite, set up your tent so that the worst part is over. You can get all of your items organized. Get ready to fire up the grill by adding some charcoal and charcoal fluid. Once the grill is ready you can grill your chicken for the chicken stew.
Chicken Stew
What you will need:
6 large chicken breasts
1 cup water
1 can of chicken broth
2 large onions, chopped
3-16 ounce cans of whole tomatoes, blended (prepare ahead of time)
1 can of kernel corn
1 can creamed corn
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Dutch oven
Nonstick cooking spray
To prepare chicken stew recipe:
Preheat grill to 350 degrees or so. Place chicken in a nonstick cooking sprayed tinfoil pan. Add about 1 cup of water. Once the chicken is done grilling you can place it in a Dutch oven to cool off. Once the chicken is cool enough you want to de-bone it if you did not use boneless and skinless chicken breasts. If needed, take off the skin as well. Chop the chicken into bite size pieces. Set the chicken aside in another bowl or on a plate to let it cool down. Save the broth that is in the tinfoil pan. Now add chicken broth, onion that is already chopped, and both untrained cans of corn to the blender. (If you do not have a campsite with electricity you must do this beforehand at home.) Chop the tomatoes in the blender until the texture is fine and add the chicken broth to the mixture. Bring all to a boil and keep stirring. Reduce the heat or move the Dutch oven so it is not directly over the coals. Add the chicken, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. This recipe serves 8 to 10 people.
