The perfect cup of coffee at your fingertips

Author: David Saltonstall
Coffee is the most popular drink consumed worldwide. Whether you are somewhat of a connoisseur or just like most of us, you rely on a good cup of joe to kick start your morning and shoot your energy levels through the roof.

Part of my daily routine on the way to work was to stop off at my local coffee shop. I decided I would much rather prefer to enjoy that luxury at home, so i purchased my very own espresso machine. There are various types to choose from, starting from basic stove top to fully automatic machines. I personally prefer the style and simplicity of my stove top espresso machine. Sure you may have to wait a little longer for the stove to heat up but the end result is a delicious cup of extra strong coffee, just the way I like it.

In order to get that perfect cup, you need to purchase the right type of coffee bean. I prefer whole coffee beans as opposed to pre-ground coffee beans. Pre- ground beans may seem easier and quicker to use but it tends to lose its freshness faster than whole coffee beans. If you wish to use whole beans, you will have to invest in a good coffee grinder also.

When it comes to purchasing coffee, I buy coffee beans online. I find that they have a wide variety of beans available from all around the world and also to suit mine or your individual needs and price bracket. Online you can find websites which have coffee beans that are grown in specific regions or blends of coffees from various parts of the world. Each region has a unique flavour, crema and aroma. Sometimes these are combined to form blends.
The majority of the most loved coffee beans originat from South America, Central America, Africa and Indonesia. But the plant is grown in an area known as the coffee belt which sits on the Tropics where the heat and humidity is just right for growing this special plant.
Choosing to buy coffee beans online has its advantages when it comes to freshness when compared to supermarket coffee. Coffee beans from your local store may have been sitting on the shelves for weeks before it has been i purchased. The coffee begins to lose freshness after roasting, it is good to buy coffee as close to the roast date as possible.
Some people even prefer to roast their own coffee in coffee roaster to ensure the ultimate freshness, but i will stick to my roasted coffee beans.

I purchase my beans in bulk on wholesale websites; I find it saves me time and money in the long run. This also ensures that i will never run out of my beloved drink. All I have to do is log on to my account and I'm a few clicks away from having coffee from all over the world delivered to my doorstep the very next day!
