There's a Pinoy Restaurant in Metro Manila along Espana that I've been trying to look into for ages now. It was recommended to me by a friend as a good place to go. They have an entertainment show for their customers. They show an actual cooking of dish. In every dish they cook they gave a little information about it. One of my most wanted dishes they made was the Pochero. It is a Spanish influenced Beef recipe .

Here are the ingredients needed to cook pochero:
• 1 kilo of Monterey Beef Shanks
• 1 kilo of Monterey Beef Brisket, sliced into 1 ½ in cubes
• 1cup of Purefoods Honeycured Bacon, sliced into ½ in cubes
• 4 pieces of Purefoods Chorizo Bilbao, sliced in half
• 2 stalks of leeks, sliced diagonally into 2 pieces
• 3 stalks of celery, sliced diagonally into 2 pieces
• 2 pieces of onions, quartered
• 2 pieces of carrots, sliced into 3 pieces
• 1 tablespoon of peppercorns, crushed
• 1 whole cabbage, quartered
• 1 ½ cups of green beans, trimmed
• 5 leaves of Pechay
• 1 cup of garbanzos
• 6 pieces of bananas (saba), peeled and sliced in half
• 3 pieces of potatoes, peeled and sliced in half
• 3 table spoon of oil
• ¼ cup of onions, chopped
• 3 cloves of garlic, minced salt and pepper to taste
Here are the procedures to be followed:
To begin, put the beef shanks, quartered onions, celery and leeks into a pot. Add water to cover and bring it to a boil. When the water boils, lower the heat into a shimmer and wait until the beef shanks are tender. Then, add the chorizo bilbao.
In cooking the vegetables, take away some of the soup from the pochero and put some in another pot. In the new pot, add the bananas and potatoes until its tender. After that, add the cabbage, baguio beans and add the pechay. Cook it halfway through.
After that is to sauté the vegetables, add the vegetable oil, onions, and garlic in a wok then let it sauté it for a few minutes. Add the cabbage, pechay and baguio beans. Season it with some salt and pepper and add the garbanzos.
In a big bowl, combine the beef shanks, cooked vegetables, potatoes and bananas. To finish it add the broth or soup to the bowl.
