AHA! Fast Cake Recipes For Beginners!

Author: Michael
Today's technology focuses on giving everyone the chance to do their work as fast as possible. However, most of the time, focusing on the speed of your work might sacrifice its quality. If this is the problem that you are facing when it comes to baking, you sure are not alone. Many house chefs prefer to steer away from baking because of time constraints. This is a very important concern, but it should never limit you from creating baked goodies. Many recipes are available to help you bake without the hassles.

Here is one of those fast cake recipes that will surely help you get started. After following this recipe, you would end up with a very delicious chocolate cake.
Ingredients:
  • Pastry flour - You would need at least one 1 ½ cups of flour to make nine good slices.
  • White sugar - A cup would do, although you may opt to change its quantity according to your preference.
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder - If you cannot find the unsweetened cocoa in your grocery store, just limit your sugar.
  • Baking soda and baking powder - Measure one teaspoon on each of these active ingredients to ensure that your cake will get the correct texture.
  • Salt - A pinch would do. Besides, you would need it just to enhance the natural chocolate flavor from your cocoa.
  • Water - This would serve as the mixing ingredient in your batter. For more flavor, you can also use a cup of unsweetened milk
  • Vegetable oil - If you would want to make your cake a little bit healthier, you can choose a stick of butter or margarine instead.
  • White vinegar - You would need just ¼ cup of this ingredient. Just like salt, it is added to highlight your chocolate flavors.
  • Vanilla - One teaspoon would do, but this is optional.
The first part of creating this cake is by preparing the cake batter. If you have read other fast cake recipes, you would repeatedly see that the liquid ingredients should be added to the dry ingredients. This principle would still be the same here. In that case, you should sift your flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. To make your time more efficient, you can simply sift all these ingredients directly into your baking pan. Just make sure that your pan is not greased or lined. After mixing all the dry ingredients thoroughly, add the liquid ingredients. You can do this by creating a small well in the middle of your dry ingredients. As you mix everything together, you would need to ensure that all the lumps are dissolved. Otherwise, your cake might come out as grainy.
Another tip that you might found in other fast cake recipes is preheating your oven. This will help you get the baking process started once you have placed the batter inside the oven. For this cake, you can pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Check the batter once in a while. If a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the centre, your cake is done. All you need to do now is to serve and enjoy it.
