Step-1: Tea leaves should be moisture free: Start with taking out only the required amount of tea leaves from the container and laying them on a paper (a newspaper is best to absorb any moisture). We want to use dry tea leaves as the wet or moist leaves do not give the desired result. Let the tea leaves dry at room temperature for a few minutes.
Step-2: Keep the pot warm: When brewing tea, a warm tea pot is a better choice. Pour some boiled water and cover the teapot or simply spill some warm water before filling it with tea. Pre-warming the teapot helps in better infusion and texture of the tea.
Step-3: Place tea leaves into the pot: Make sure you place your tea leaves in the center of the teapot. This helps in achieving better infusion.
Step-4: Blanch the leaves: Add preheated water to the tea leaves; just enough quantity to submerge the leaves. Then, add water as per the required quantity. Ensure that the added water has been heated to the required temperature. Close the lid for the duration of the infusion.
Step-5: Removing the tea leaves from tea: There are two ways to remove the leaves from tea. Either separate the tea leaves through straining; or just gently invert the tea pot into another tea pot so that the tea is directly shifted having no contact with the air during the transfer, and the tea leaves are held back in the first tea pot.
